Workshop Terms and Conditions
By registering for a Andrew Hertel Photography workshop, expedition or other program, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. I may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time in the future, and it is your responsibility to be familiar with them.
General Terms
By attending a Andrew Hertel Photography workshop you acknowledge and accept certain risks. Your application shall serve as a release of our liability and a complete assumption of all risks by you and your heirs, administrator, executor, successors, and assign for all family members. By accepting our terms of service, you are acknowledging that you are aware that travel, wherever it may be, and by whatever means, involves some inherent risk of injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to personal property, which may be caused by acts of nature, negligence or actions of others.
Booking and Payments
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the workshop. The balance of the workshop fee is due 90 days before the workshop start date. If the balance is not paid by the due date, I reserve the right to treat your booking as canceled and retain your deposit. Bookings made within 90 days of the workshop start date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Cancellations and Refunds
I understand that life happens but unfortunately there are NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY, even for medical emergencies. All cancellation requests must be made via E-mail. I encourage participants to purchase refundable airline tickets and trip cancellation insurance. I strongly recommend trip insurance to protect you in the event of an unexpected situation that prevents you from attending the workshop. There are many different trip and travel insurance companies, I highly recommend you speak to an agent to ensure your trip is covered.
If you cancel more than 90 days from the start date of the Workshop: refund of monies paid minus the $500 deposit.
If you cancel 89-31 days from the start date of the Workshop: refund of monies paid minus the $500 deposit and $200 admin fee.
If you cancel 30 days or less from the start date of the Workshop: no refund of any monies paid.
If you need to cancel, please notify me as soon as possible. If we can fill your spot on the tour, we will refund any payments made minus $200.
I reserve the right to cancel any workshop in the unlikely event the minimum participant enrollment is not met. In the event I cancel a workshop, participants will be given the option to reschedule to a later date or receive a full refund. I am not, however, liable for expenses incurred such as airfare or accommodations, and for this reason I also recommend the purchase of trip insurance.
I make decisions and logistical arrangements based on the number of registered participants, I may incur financial costs and commitments in advance for your participation, and I have administrative costs in processing and managing your registration.
Insurance
I strongly recommend that participants obtain travel insurance to cover any potential losses due to trip cancellation, delays, interruptions, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen travel complications. I am not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the workshop. Participants attend the workshops at their own risk. I also recommend that you check with your healthcare provider to see if your insurance covers health care needs abroad. Please note that some travel insurance coverage options are only available if purchased within 14 days of making the initial deposit on the trip.
Health and Safety
You are responsible for ensuring that you are in good health and physically capable of participating in the workshop activities. Please inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone we deem unfit for the activities.
Itinerary and Changes
The workshop itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, local circumstances, or other factors beyond our control. We will do our best to adhere to the advertised itinerary but reserve the right to make adjustments as necessary.
Conduct
Participants are expected to respect local customs, wildlife, and the environment at all times. Please follow the instructions of the workshop leader and local guides, and respect the rights of fellow participants. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is deemed disruptive or harmful to the group.
Use of Images
By participating in the workshop, you grant us permission to use any images taken during the workshop for promotional purposes, unless you explicitly request otherwise.
