Children's Pool Wall

from $40.00

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the iconic Children's Pool Wall in the breathtaking coastal town of La Jolla, California. Its rugged beauty and timeless allure have woven themselves into the fabric of my creative consciousness, a constant inspiration beckoning to be photographed.

Over countless outings, I've envisioned the perfect image, waiting for the stars to align, for the elements to harmonize in just the right way. And then, one fateful August morning in 2020, it happened.

On that misty morning, shrouded in a veil of ethereal fog, I found the perfect opportunity to create the image that had eluded me. I utilized a 68-second shutter speed, seeking to blur the movement of the water and evoke a sense of serene tranquility. As the haze enveloped the scene, diffusing the light and softening the edges, I seized the chance to capture the serene beauty of the Children's Pool Wall in a way I had imagined for quite some time.

In that suspended moment, as the world stood still around me, I captured more than just an image. I captured a fleeting glimpse of time itself, frozen in the delicate interplay of light and motion, a testament to the enduring beauty of the natural world.

And as I packed up my gear, the satisfaction of finally bringing my vision to life washed over me like the gentle tide, a reminder of the magic that awaits those who dare to chase their dreams.

I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did creating it.

The Prints

I personally print all prints using archival inks, mats and paper. All images are printed on museum quality archival paper, Red River Paper’s Palo Duro Baryta Fiber 300, a paper which offers a rich tonality, depth and feel of a traditional wet darkroom fiber paper.

Editions

All of my images are limited editions of 100 prints which includes all sizes of prints. After the series has expired no further prints will be made of that image.

Options

I provide several options for purchasing my prints, either as a print only, Ready to Frame Matted Prints or as Framed Prints which include a three inch mat. All prints will have a half inch border around the image and are hand signed in the lower right corner with the number of the print on the lower left corner. The Title, Capture Date, Print Date and Edition Number are signed on the back of each print. Each print will include a Certificate of Authenticity and a short story behind the image.
